Altered Faith Journal with Tracey G.

Tracey G. here today in my first official post back on the DT.
I have missed playing with theses fabulous chippies! The details are beautiful and they come in such a range of styles to fit your style.

My first project is a altered faith Journal.

I really should have taken a before picture. I've been writing in this journal about my prayers, answered prayers and times God showed me clarity and times I received miracles when I didn't even expect them.

The original cover was a blah green with plaid.

I used the Blowing Leaves Frame and started by using white gelatos for my base coat.
All the pastel colored sections are also gelato with various sections coated with glossy accents for texture and shine.

I went all shabby with this one, layering distressed papers with thrift store ribbons, buttons and pearls.

After adding lace to both front and back covers,I painted the outside of the pages in a coordinating blue. I fastened a closure with a Tim Holtz large pin and lace to use as a tie.

I hope you enjoyed my project.
Look around your house and maybe you can see a good book to alter?

 Happy crafting!
