The last stop on the Orient Express was Istanbul, Turkey:
The Moroccan Border seemed the perfect accent for this layout, which I painted and cut to fit (there are two long strips per pack, so PLENTY to work with). Leaky Shed Studio has some gorgeous Eastern influenced chippies, including the Moroccan Frame to match this border.
Check this out--I actually started this book a year or two ago, and specifically chose it because of the Eastern influence motif on the cover. Here is the back:
Do these go well together or what?? |
The LSS Arabian Balcony and Arabian Border are definitely up for a future appearance, probably with some Topkapi Palace pics.
Today, I will leave you with Alice--she's the theme of the other, aforementioned, altered book, and this layout has already appeared on my personal blog:
(You can find tall Alice on the LSS site as Alice Long Neck.)
Here's wishing you a wonderful weekend, everyone!
