Day 3- Leaky Shed Studio and Authentique Paper

We hope you've been enjoying the projects by the Leaky Shed Studio and Authentique Design Teams!  Today is our final day of inspiration.  The Leaky Shed Studio design team would like to thank Authentique for participating in such a great swap with our chipboard and for all their beautiful projects! Be sure to check out both giveaways for your chance to win either or both of the awesome prizes! You will find the details are at the bottom of this post. Next up our final projects with the Smitten collection and our fun Valentines Chipboard pieces.

Love Banner by
Juliana Michaels

To create the banner Juliana used 6 pieces of the Pennant Banner and covered each one with a different paper pattern from the Authentique Smitten collection.
She used the back side of the same paper to cover the border piece on the top of each banner and then hot glued a length of pom pom fringe to the edge. The Large Type 4" alphabet letters were given a coating of glitter that she adhered using Ranger Glossy Accents.

Next, she  created several mini collage pieces by mixing various Leaky Shed Valentine themed chipboard pieces with stickers from the Authentique collection. The chipboard was painted with a Gold Krylon Leafing pen. Once dry, she selected various stickers from the collection to create the collages and then adhered the glittered letters and collages to the front of each banner. A length of red tulle was used to connect each banner and she then used a piece of ribbon on each end to hang the banner.

Tracey created this Family Love Album as a Valentine's gift for her husband.

Family Love Album by
Tracey Sabella

She applied aluminum tape to the chipboard cover cut outs and detailed with an embossing folder and metal working tools before coloring with alcohol inks.

The wood word hearts were inked and tied to the rings with distressed ribbon.

Here are her pages with some close-ups.

To achieve a grungy masculine feel for her husband, Tracey applied corrugated board to some of the pages and then applied the Authentique Smitten papers using a gel medium transfer technique. She then distressed the edges and applied a variety of mediums to each page.

Her flourishes and frames are heat set with a mixture of Fran-tage Embossing Enamels.

You can see how the transfer technique transformed the papers
for a more grungy, masculine look.
