Snowflakes and Cards with Veronica

Hi, Veronica here today to share with you a set of simple to make Christmas cards!  Leaky Shed Studio has some new reveals and one of them is this beautiful Large Snow Flake Border.

Snowflake Border Lg  sk:740-1

Step Out Instructions and Photos:

1. First I cut my border apart so that I would have my single snowflakes.  Then I painted them with Chalk Paint.

2.  Second, I layered the new Bobunny Glitter paste (gold) on my snowflakes

3.  Then I finished off my snowflakes with crackle paint from Ranger.

After I dried them all I added a pretty crystal jewel I had in my stash, then I added a dot of crystal dimension paint to give the snowflake more layers and interest.

I made my cards (4.25 x 5.5)out of white smooth card stock with my first layer of grey card stock. My third layer was thick vellum snow flake paper I had in my stash.  For embellishments I added ribbon, glittery stickers and a stamped sentiment "Merry Christmas."

Since all the cards are the same I was able to make them quickly because I did everything in stages. You can see that the Leaky Shed Studio Snow Flake really stands out on the cards and brings the dazzle.

Thank you for stopping by and happy scrapping.

Happy Holidays!

If you haven't had a chance to play with the new Leaky Shed Studio ornaments and snowflakes, you're missing out. They are so much fun. Today I used the Teardrop Frame ornament along with one of the small snowflakes to make a card just for you!

Just like Debbie said on Tuesday, I enjoy hand-making my Christmas Cards as well.
So.... I made this one for all of you.

Whatever you might be celebrating this holiday season, I hope you and yours enjoy each other and all the fun memories that are made this time of year!

(I left the card open so you could see how the snowflake would twirl if you could touch it.)

I used acrylic paints and glitter glue to paint my chipboard.
I cut the center out of my card and attached the snowflake with a small string of nylon string so it would twirl when the card was opened.

Enjoy the season!  ♥Kris

Hi everyone!  Robbie here.  Hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving!  Our family had a wonderful holiday and are now gearing up for Christmas.

For today's post, I used the Leaky Shed Studio Christmas Ornaments.  This is a terrific group of ornaments that is so pretty already, so designing with them was super quick and easy!

This ornament was super easy.  I started by giving it a couple of sprays of Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine.
I then added glitter to the edge and to the separate circle piece in the middle.

I used tiny strips of foam tape to attach the inner circle.  For the picture, I made sure it really showed up to show, but hanging on my tree, you don't see it at all unless you are looking for it.  :)

The flowers and letters are already glittered, so it took nothing more than gluing them to the project.

Tie a bow and a hanger to the top and your are good to go!

I also made a card with two more of the ornaments.
Now, since it's really obvious, I'm owning the fact that getting a picture of this card really did me in!  However, I think you can still see the details.:)

I repeated the basic idea from the ornament for the tree on these.  A couple of sprays of mist and glitter accents.

For the centers, I used a 2" punch to make circles of paper.  This My Mind's Eye paper is already glittered, so all you have to do is glue it to the back.

Tip:  If you haven't ever tried it, let me recommend the Art Glitter Glue.  It lays down a fine line, dries quickly and is so much easier to use than school glue.

Again, use foam to layer the chipboard, glue down the flowers and tie bows for this quick and easy card.

One more confession, since I'm owning my mess today... Notice the glitter on the bows.  Weeelllll...I had glue on my fingers and got it on one of the ribbons.  Of course, that meant I got glitter on it, too.  Guess what?  I liked it a lot, so I added it to the other ribbons, too!  Mistakes aren't always a problem!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Holly Nutting Doll Christmas Card

Hello, Juliana here with my first post as a new Design Team Member for Leaky Shed Studio. Today, I have a Christmas Card to share with you that I created using the fabulous Julie Nutting Holly Chipboard Doll. I had so much fun playing with these chipboard dolls!

I used acrylic paint for the hair, skin, bracelet, berries and holly leaves. To color her dress, I used one of my favorite markers...a Krylon Gold Leafing Pen. It has a fabulous gold shine and it is so easy to work with on chipboard. I then added some small red jewels for the berries.

I love the dimension that the layered chipboard pieces give to the doll!
